Johnson Reader Source

Robert Watling Jr. sent this image from his copy of the Pantheon Books edition of The Johnson Reader. I've included his notes comparing the Pantheon and Modern Library editions:

The Pantheon edition has a very similar dust jacket, same red on tan paper, black and red type but with blue outlines instead of what appear to be black on the ML copy. The book as a whole is much larger, being 8.5" tall by 6" wide by about 1.75" thick. It has the same 464 pages. The copyright page says: "First Pringing, copyright 1964." Below the usual copyright information, including Library of Congress Catalog card number 64-10976, it says "design by Vincent Torre." On the dust jacket flap at the bottom printed in red are the words: "Typography, binding, and jacket design by Vincent Torre." In the lower left corner of the flap is "4/64." The binding is blue cloth with gold on the spine. On the front is an elongated octagon framing Johnson's signature in red.
