Notes on Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray

This title started in the series alone until 1934, with De Profundis until 1963 (under number 1 until 1943 when it switched to 125), and then alone again until 1970.

In 1931, a "new edition" came out marked on the copyright page as "New Modern Library Edition." Information there continues to say that Dorian Gray had more than 150,000 copies printed by 1931 after which the original plates were destroyed. "The first ediiton from the new plates was printed in October, 1931." 190 titles are listed on the dust jacket's inverse. Since the only change to the editon seems to be new plates, it doesn't seem to rise to the level of requiring a new Toledano number.
